| Park Slope : A great place to live - 12/22/2007
Sitting close to Prospect Park, and with a diverse and endlessly interesting population, Park Slope is a great place to raise kids. And although there are s lsrge number of families with children here, we are also home to many young professionals who love the restaurants, bars and shopping. Housing costs are high both for sales and rentals - I am a realtor based here (www.brooklynhabitat.com), but even in the current market, we have experienced no great downturn in the umber of people who wish to live in this neighbrhood.
The schools, both public and private, are excellent - in fact much of the current leadership on the public school side comes fom our district.
This is one of New York's neighborhoods that have Historical Landmark designation, and truly there is a lot of history here.
I will end here, but feel free to contact me if you need mre details about this neighborhood, or any in Brooklyn. I am a live long Brooklyn resident!

| One of the best places in America - 6/8/2007
Park Slope is an amazing place to live. It is my ideal small-town life, smack in the middle of Brooklyn. My friends and colleagues live nearby, and I frequently run into acquaitances when I'm just walking around. I love not having any need for a car. Now if only two bedroom apartments cost less than $750,000... sigh.

| Great nabes, but a lot of $$ - 8/11/2006
Brooklyn is a great place to live, provided you're in the right neighborhoods. Parks, beautiful old brownstowns, great restaurants and shops. But, it takes money to enjoy these things -- a lot of money. And the subways are a great thing, but it wears on you- walking, waiting, noise, crowds. Plus, living near a terrorist bulls eye (Manhattan) is not so fun. Like any place there are good and bad points to weigh.

| Love the Slope - 8/4/2006
If you don't like the burbs or don't want to actually live in Manhattan, the Slope is the place to be. Sure, it has drawbacks, like being pricey, and lots of new development. But, it's got a great neighborhood feel, it's near the great Prospect Park, it's very kid friendly but also still a bit hip and interesting, and there are tons of interesting shops and restaurants. I love it in the Slope.
