Asside from the sales tax, Ft Smith is one of the least expensive cities to live. Great to raise children to. Offers a little of all that is needed to live a good life, with out the hassles of the big city. If you want schools university movies resteurants airport mall good libraries hospitals golf and casinos near by camping and fishing. If your looking for extra night life Fayetteville is only 45 minutes away.[more...]

not true... - 6/25/2006

I relocated from Columbus, OH almost 3 yrs ago thinking the cost of living is much less in this town. I learned from my own experiences and talking with lot many other older people that it is not ture. We pay 9.25 % sales tax on all products, may be even more on beer as I recently heard from bussiness people. Tyson chicken processed in this state is cheaper in FL, as I learned from one of my patient, who kept track of all diff utilities and prices of diff products.[more...]
