Grnad Marais isd a Grand Place - 9/2/2010

Grand Marais is everything one could want in a place to live, it is a community with a love of music, literature, arts, with equal doses of recreation, spirited discussions, and not so many people to create a crowd. Individualistic, maybe a bit eccentric but always social and hospitable, athletic and active; Grand Marais is a place you would want to grow old in, but whose vitality keeps you from growing old. If the weather is too hot and humid you stay down by the Lake, if it seems too cold you go out and ski, snowshoe or chop wood for a cozy fire. There are never ending wilderness areas to explore and seek solitude; there are only 4 people per square mile and most of them live along the shore of Lake Superior.

my possible retirement home - 3/29/2007

i am a huge fan of cooler weather- i hate summer,heat, humidity- i live for the cold so Grand Marais would be ideal town to retire in- comfortable weather for me!
