Sub Climate on Oahu - 3/15/2007

The island of Oahu has several distinct climate bands. While it is well known that temperature may vary from the Windward side to the Leeward side by up to 8 degrees, there are other variations as well. The community of Makakilo (Now called Kapolei) is located on a hillside above the Ewa Plains. It has an almost high desert feel with warm temperatures during the day and then rapid cooling in the evening.[more...]
