weather in Roseville

We moved here 5 years ago from Colorado Springs and previous to that the Bay Area (San Jose). Having lived in the Bay Area for most of my life I still miss it and everything about it a lot. The weather here in the Sacramento Valley can be pretty brutal ... here in Roseville we can average 3-6 degrees hotter than Sacramento since we're right at the base of the Sierras. So far this year we've had a fairly "mild" summer with only a few 100 degree days which is extremely unusual. The 2nd summer we were here we had a spell of over 105 degrees for about 17 days and one day it reached 117!!! Roseville is a nice little town though with great restaurants but if you're looking for a "cooler" summer climate this isn't it. We're grateful for whoever came up with the idea of A/C!!!
