Sylmar/Foothills

Ive lived in the foothills of Sylmar since 1989 and I love it. In my area there has never been any crime. I am quite surprised when people mention that there is crime here. I have heard that the flatlands of Sylmar have gangs and crime, but Pasadena is the same way. As a matter of fact, gangs are VERY prevalent in Pasadena. Ive even seen gang members in broad daylight destroy a car.....yet everyone always says that Pasadena is sooooo wonderful. I really think Sylmar needs to be divided. The gang areas are in my opinion in San Fernando.....Sylmar has very blurry lines on the map, so that's why it gets a bad rap in my opinion.
