San Jose is one of the few places that offer a dozen weekend getaways within 1-3 hours that range from world class museums, hiking & biking state parks, visiting national parks, and gorgeous beaches. On a Saturday, you can drive to Santa Cruz beaches in the morning and by late afternoon be in Yosemite.
