moving from las vegas NV to boerne TX

me and my boyfriend have recently moved to las vegas from fresno cali and cant stand it. we dont like how the city is just full of tourist and homeless we want to live somewhere that is not so fast, somewhere we can start going to college and make some career decisions. we want to settle down and heard from my grandmother who lives in boerne that this place would be a wonderful place to do so. can i get some more opinions. i know i can trust my grandmother but need to hear what others have to say as well. i am 25 and my boyfriend is 22 years old. we must get the ball rolling soon...
