Review of Warner Robins, Georgia

Severely Limited
Star Rating - 12/6/2007
Culture and recreation within Warner Robins are extremely limited. The reasonable cost of living is offset with having to drive 100 miles to the Atlanta area for significant culture attractions. Warner Robins does not have a central city park or any type of citywide celebration. The only abundant types of recreation are bars, chain restaurants, and church. The closest "Fine Dining" restaurant is a 30 minute drive north in the city of Macon. The local YMCA is struggling to stay open despite a huge need for the organization. The city has grown very quickly over the past ten years, but has not built facilities to accomodate the increase in residents. To the contrary, business taxes are much higher and laws more restrictive than most adjacent towns - encouraging business to move outside the city limits. On the up side - Atlanta, Savannah, Athens, South Carolina, and Florida are all fairly close.
