Diversity Abounds - 7/6/2011

There is so much to do in Colorado. If you're ambitious or have "ants in your pants" you'll nearly anything here...with the exception of Ocean-front property...though we do have an Aquarium in the heart of Colorado.......walking distance from downtown Denver. Getting ridiculus - 3/21/2011

I love living here because there are thousands of things to do. People are friendly and despite the lack of cultural diversity, there is a lot of new, exciting stuff to be seen. Public schools are great. But there is a huge problem with the costs of housing. I have lived about an hour away from Denver for my entire life, and I have seen costs of rent/mortgage go up in huge amounts every year. A medium size house (3bed,2 bath) is often more than 350,000 where I live, and it's not really even a big town. And that is average. A peice of land that isn't in a suburb is even more expensive. Expect to pay at least half a million for any small chunk of dirt that is available- usually an acre or two. If you have the funds for a home, or can opt for a single room apt., Northern co is amazing. I just don't personally feel that it is worth spending the $.[read more...]

Wonderful Warm State (Thats people not Climate) - 8/25/2010

Colorado is very beautiful and green through most of the state. Its has the majestic Rocky Mountains running through it and they are so huge you can see them almost from anywhere in the state. Not only do i believe in its Beauty but also in its people. I can count on almost every experience with the social scene to be with kind warm friendly people that care how you feel while visiting and living here in this state. Even the stars visit Colorado for their old towns from the gold rush days and for their rustic ski resorts and light friendly social scenes. You could be a star like Goldie Hawn ans Kurt Russel and hang around our friendly people that know you like privacy and wait for you to make the moves to join in rather then harass you and stare making you not feel at home here. Having people like that care for our State just like we do makes me very proud. The fact that the stars not only come for fun but to own some of this grand land makes me very happy that we are not alone in knowing how wonderful this state is and how it gives back to its people. I feel its a finely kept secret and sorta feel I'm giving it away telling you how wonderful it is cause at the moment we don't have the over crowding that many states have nor do we have the huge price for living here. We get the best of both worlds, mild to hot summers but never too hot also cold winters for our skiing and snowboarding hobbies that stays on the mountains so long until spring but melts off the mountains to freshen our waters and fill or reserves without making our towns stay buried in snow through the whole winter.Yes sometimes after a hard snow storm (and the are beautiful also) our streets melt the next day our sun comes out our mountains stay covered in white bliss and we get to see the white caps from almost anywhere in the state! Wonderful Warm State![read more...]
