The area is well situated for many day trips (Portland, Me, Boston, Ma, Concord NH and the white mountains) Negatives are weather (winters mainly because fall is beautiful) and people tend to keep to themselves- I believe the saying "good fences make good neighbors" was born here in upper New England.
