The actual home average in Hendersonville is still roughly in the $180k range. New construction starts in the $250,000 range. I've lived in Hendersonville for almost 6 years (this time) and 2 years previously, great town. That's why we moved back, great schools, sports, and so many outdoor activities.[read more...]

| Quality of Life - 9/25/2005
I have lived in Hendersonville for nearly 9 years. It has grown dramatically in just that short time. As part of Sumner Co., it has been forecast to become the "next Williamson Co." an area known for good schools, massive development and soaring home prices. The quiet, pastoral quality of the area which attracted me to move here is all but gone now. An area on Old Hickory Lake that was known as the summer homes for Country Music, is now another bedroom community for Nashville, but with a better family quality of life. Expanded and improved highway systems such as I-65 and 386 Vietnam Veterans Hwy. make Hendersonville no longer the impossible commute it once was. An area now primarily for families with children, focus is on good schools and better sports. Access to the lake makes it attractive to sportsmen as well.[read more...]

| Hendersonville, TN needs updating!!!!!! - 9/8/2005
The population in Hendersonville, TN is well over 100.000 with homes averaging $250,000.00 and that's underestimating it.
It is known as the city on the lake and lake homes start at $500,000.00.
Update sales tax also and the unemployment rate.[read more...]
