Key West is tropical: warm breezes most of the year and definitely hot, but that's just what I like. What I don't like is the cost of living. The town is a second or third home to some of the nation's wealthiest, so its a great place to play if you can afford it. If not--say you are a worker in the service sector or just plying an ordinary trade--the living conditions can be grim.
