Although the climate here is great and the beach definitely a plus, unless you are a retiree, entrepenur, or transferred here with a large company I would not advise moving here. The unemployment rate is through the roof and there is little hope for recoverey anytime soon. Everyone you meet is from somewhere else...very few locals will welcome a "yankee". But the people you meet form elsewhere are great and everyone has a story. The best time of year for us who live here is March-May and the October-December. It is quiet and the weather is fabulous. If you have the money it is a really nice palce to live if can tolerate a "tourist town".
