Dover, NH, is a terrific place to live. Quite, great seasonal weather, gorgeous autumns, extremely scenic. Short on culture, but 15 minutes to Portsmouth, little over an hour to Boston, Massachusetts, or to Portland, Maine. Good local bus service. Amtrak from Portland, Maine, to Boston stops at Dover. Great bus line (C&J Trailways) in Portsmouth makes several runs a day to both Logan Airport and South Station (train and bus depots) in Boston. Park car in Portsmouth (free).
