Family Friendly Fountain Hills - 7/1/2008 |
|
|
| The town of Fountain Hills (population approx. 25,000) is situated northeast of Phoenix, just east of Scottsdale and north of Mesa, in the McDowell Mountain foothills. It is close to Lake Saguaro and Route 87, which is quick access for weekend trips out of the metropolitan area up to the mountains. There is no city property tax, yet there are many amenities through the Parks and Recreation Dept. for individuals of all ages. Temperatures are typically a few degrees cooler than the Phoenix metro area, and the atmosphere is casual and friendly.
