| Given the cost of living here, this has to be one of the more overpriced locations in Massachusetts, and that's saying a lot given the current housing market here. A few nice neighborhoods but for the most part it's just a dying old mill town comprised of the most unfriendly people you will ever run across. Don't make the same mistake I did and move here, I can't wait to leave!!

| Growing City - 3/3/2013
Leominster has been a great place to live since it is the perfect distance away from Boston. Close enough to catch a plane but far enough from the city mindset. Leominster has all the shopping and medical facilities one needs and Worcester is very close. You are close to the mountains but can catch the beach for a day with a 1 hour drive. Shhh..don't tell too many folks as this city will get too big. [read more...]

| My Hometown.. - 7/28/2010
Leominster is a central Massachusetts city of about 40,000 with moderate taxes, a fairly good school system and low crime rate. I was born here, and moved around to various nearby communities during my adult life, but have returned here to retire, and be near relatives.[read more...]

Have lived here for 10+ years. A lot of growth during that time and housing prices have reflected that. The family and I enjoy the area (I am a transplant from the midwest and have lived in several other New England communities) and have found it to be a great place to raise the family. Schools could use a bit more help, but generally our children have done well and thrived. There are some private school options in the area. The people care for the city, it is well kept and improvements are made, just not at the rate many would like to see, but that is what a budget is all about, right? As well, with any city this size (40,000+), it has a few challenges....all that being said, I'd recommend it and have very much enjoyed the living experience. I'd be hard pressed to move.[read more...]
