Arkansas is joked about a lot, but it is one of the best kept secrets in the U.S. for a healthy, enjoyable life. Cost of living is moderate, climate is generally very good year round and the Ozark and Ouachata Mountains are beautiful and accessible. Beautiful clear water lakes as well as great kayak and canoeing rivers, you can generally find your outdoor activity here (except for any type of snow skiing).
