Moving to Franklin from Los Angeles

I am interesting in moving my family to Franklin, TN. I know the education is good, what is the weather like? Is it really hot in the summer, cold in the winter, does it rain all the time, is it humid? It seems to be much more affordable then L.A., but I'm really hoping that it has trees and mountains.
