| Ione, California sits at the western base of the Sierra Mountains. We are a small town with a main strip of several blocks consisting of two storey buildings from the mid 1800's. This is the first "gold rush town", yet never cashed in on its claim to fame. Because of this, we remain a quiet, low crime, neighbor friendly town.
