Best Suburb in Metroplex (DFW)

I have lived in McKinney for 3 years after originally living in Dallas for 6 months. It is by far the best suburb in on the Dallas side of the area and I would say Ft. Worth side as well, but I'm not as familiar. Cheap homes in a beautiful community. It was America's fastest growing city in the 2000 census (under 100K pop.) It has a nice downtown area with tons of unique shops and restaurants. The only draw backs are it is going through growing pains in terms of road construction. This will get worse before they get better. :) It is far north so the commute to anything south of Plano is going to take you more than 1 hour. If your considering a suburb consider McKinney you won't regret it!
