I have recently relocated from Cadillac, Michigan to Ithaca, New York. I'm really excited to learn more about the area. I've been here two months. The climate is very similar. Obviously, with Cornell U. and Ithaca College being in my back yard, there is a huge opportunity for culture here that I didn't have in northern Michigan.

I am a resident of Virginia, but just quit my teaching job. I see that you have a few young children of your own. I don't yet have a NY teaching certificate, but may look into it. My mother is 86 and lives in Syracuse. I want to live closer to her in case she needs me there. It sounds like you enjoy the city! I'm happy to hear something positive about NY.
