Anniston is poor but a nice place

I grew up in the 50 very close to Anniston. I frequently go back there to visit relatives and friends.
I find Anniston to be a bit run down, a bit poorer than it was. But still a nice friendly place. A great place to raise kids now. But, alas there are not too many high tech jobs around.
So it may be a great place to retire too. Land is still fairly cheap around Anniston, and some of the land is quite nice.
