We moved to Hendersonville, NC about 3 years ago after living in a couple of large cities. We wanted to get away from the crowds and traffic. Apparently so did a lot of other residents. People are moving here in droves. The town is full of elderly people who shouldn't be driving any longer as well as illegal immigrants. People are selling their farms to developers who are creating huge neighborhoods (700+ homes)of expensive homes in what used to be the idyllic countryside, driving the cost of land and homes well beyond what the native working people of the area can afford. Think again about moving here--pretty soon it will look just like where you came from!
