I hear you on the taxes but don't you pay for what you get? I've visited Omaha several times and I like it. I currently live in the Gulf Coast. The region is unkempt, high crime, expensive housing, poor education, on and on...one more thing, HURRICANES! Omaha has it's negatives too, harsh winters and taxes. My point, it depends on what your willing to deal with. I love the Gulf Coast it has beatiful waters, nice weather and seafood but when I think about safety I will pay those taxes anyday. Katrina has changed my mind, in due time I am heading north.
