| Living, Eating and things to do in League City, Te - 10/18/2010
I lived in League City for many years, I have read one persons view on League City saying it was boring and only had sonic on every corner and chili and applebees to eat at and doesn't offer any upscale eating places, well maybe this person needs to venture out more from where she has been going, as far as Sonic there was one by the High School and one in the Kemah area, that is all they had there last year. And for Chili's and Applebees, they are everywhere in cities small and large, but they have some very nice places to eat in the League City, Kemah area maybe she needs to drive further than the High School and home, and as for malls they have nice malls to shop at. It isn't the Galleria, but if you want to go there it isn't that far away for a saturday. League City had some of the best schools around the Houston area. I loved League City and would love to move back and one day I might. Not to offend anyone, but lets get the stories straight and know what you are talking about, before you judge a place, make sure you know of all the eatery's. And make sure you venture out. League City has decent schools and low crime but for the 80k+ residents living in League city, it's so split up east side/west side and doesn't offer any decent shopping, restaurants or culture, unless you call Applebee's and Chili's high end dining LOL! With all of the the High Household earners here in the area you would think the city would plan on additional economic development instead of cookie cutter houses and Sonics every block-you will go crazy living here unless you are retired, from the country or like to plan your activities around church...very slow and boring.[read more...]

I have lived in League City for 11 years. The West side of the city has had a remarkable housing boom since 2002. On the South East side of town there is roughly a 5 mile stretch of Hwy. 96 is also being developed with new housing. There is no shortage of land for the continuing growth of this city.[read more...]

Your climate report on League City seems a little...uh, skewed. Average days over 90 is reported as 11. Are you kidding me? We've had 11 days over 90 by the end of April!!!
