Houston is a cesspool of criminals, hey come in all shades and stripes. I am an IT professional from the east Coast and I have never experienced in my life such a constant level of criminal activity.
1. you CANNOT get out of your car or even attempt to walk down a street in ANY part of Houston without being accosted
2. do not even attempt to go to a bar or nightclub for fun - they are populated by petty thieves and would be rapists - I have had my credit cards stolen and pockets picked so many times - it has to be some kind of record w/ the credit card companies
3. do not even attempt to make friends - everyone here has some kind of petty con going on - they will try to sell you real estate or pull some other type of bulls**t to get into your pockets or gain access to your possessions - which they will then try to steal
4. can this be true? yes, it is unbelievable, I have never witnessed anything like it in my life and cannot even begin to offer an explanation - nor would anyone want to delve too deeply into what is such a disgusting geographical concentration of filth
