Living in South Florida (Jupiter) is wonderful...temps are warm, the water is green, the people are friendly....well, maybe not that friendly. Visitors should beware TWO "attitudes" which prevail, each in it's "season". The first is the "vacation" attitude which flies south with the annual "snowbird" influx. This attitude, understandably, sounds very much like the chirpings of the affluent, over-indulgent, ever-demanding, two-nested Northern Crank. The other "attitude", much more subtle and surprising to the unwary, is probably, to some degree, a result of the first. Even the local residents, those fortunate to reside here year-round,are wary of the sly and unscrupulous GreenBack Gouger. Always a threat, the GBG is most evident when the Snowbird is in residence. Look for high prices, shoddy workmanship or product, and a very offensive "take-it-or-leave-it" shrug in the shoulder area. Although prevalent in all of South Florida, both "attitudes" seem to increase as one gets closer to salt water.
But we love it! After all these years, we still watch the weather report to see all the snow we aren't getting.
