Sense of Community - 8/5/2011

Delaware Ohio is a really great small town where old cars can cruise Sandusky St during the annual car show while families stroll along the street eating ice cream. The town still retains much of it's farming identity. Everyone looks out for everyone else. People care about each other and the land and they try to instill that in their children. Most kids who've grown up in Delaware participated in 4-H and took their animals to the Delaware County Fair. The town has a very simple very safe very family oriented vibe.[read more...]

Delaware has a lot of good and bad things... - 5/19/2007

Some of the good things are the Delaware County Cultural Arts Center, the library, and some other things, and the bad things about Delaware are the schools. They can be good or bad depending on which school you go to. Dempsey Middle School can be good because the teachers are nice and the building is new and they offer a lot of extracurricular programs. But, it can be bad because of all the fights that happen in the hallways and the things that the people that go there do. It can also be bad because of the lack of disipline in the school, like if you get in a fight you only get suspended fot 3 days and then if you get in another fight you just get suspended for another 3 days, and nothing else will happen to you. You can getin 4 fights before the 2nd quarter is over and you still won't get thrown out. Well, enough about the bad things a few other good things about delaware are the Ohio Weslean University, and the small town feel. [read more...]
