I've lived here for three of the worst years of my life. The people are extremely rude; I say "Hello" and get silence. The drivers are hideous; I see car accidents EVERY single day. The weather is vile; summers are hot and humid as hell itself. The people are close-minded and EXTREMELY stupid. If you go downtown, your car will be stolen or you will be accosted by a bum. I'm white, but my black friends are treated like absolute garbage.
At least the unemployment lines have pretty girls in them.

The rudeness (which I have experienced very little) is because so many here are not Native Nshvillians anymore.I have lived here all my life and while Nashville has it's share of problems, I have been to other areas of the country and have seen black people treated much worse. The statement about black people being treated like garbage is simply not true. GO out on the internet and check other cities and I think that you will find the majority of people will normally say their city has the absolute worst drivers. As far as close minded and extremely stupid, there are 49 other states and I am sure Tennessee and Nashville in particular would not miss you. You have easy access to I-24, I-40, and I-65 so should not have any problem leaving if it is really that bad here.
