Only really have two seasons

I've lived in the suburbs of Illinois for 50 years. There doesn't seem to be typical weather any longer. This last winter is one of the longest and coldest and snowiest. Yet last summer was rare because it was so mild and the weather was unusually perfect much of the time. There are basically two seasons, winter and summer. We might have a couple of weeks of spring and a couple of weeks of fall. Winters can be mild or brutal, but are not fun. Summers are usually hot and humid and short. Not a great place for outdoor people, unless you don't mind cold and snow or heat and humidity. And mosquitoes. But people really do appreciate good weather on the good weather days!
