We love our home in Kelseyville. We live in the hills and the views are beautiful! the air is fresh and clean and at night you can see so many stars in the sky. We love the weather, you experience all 4 seasons. The fall and winter are amazing! my favorite time of year anyway and it is just beautiful here.[read more...]

| Living in Kelseyville - 2/7/2008
The town of Kelseyville is located in Lake County, California. It's a bout 2.5 hours north of San Francisco, and about an 1.5 hours north of Napa. Napa Valley - primary wine country is just over the "hill" from us, so Lake County has become an extension of the wine country. Lake County is the cleanest air of California and one of the top in the country. The lake, Clearlake, sits at the base of the volcano called Konocti and is the largest natural lake in California (Lake Tahoe is partially in Nevada, so Clearlake gets the title for being all the way in California). The lake is one of the oldest documented lakes in the country as well. There are several towns in the county of course, but the focus is the town of Kelseyville. Kelseyville has about 3500 residents - a small and quaint and very friendly place. Besides the lake, Konocti Harbor Inn and Spa is a main attraction here, hosting big entertainment names from across the country, in addition to it's wonderful spa service. The general area used to be known as the Bartlett Pear Capital of the world, but with the vineyards moving in, it's a toss up of what is around here more, but definitely an agricultural haven. It's a beautiful area and a great place to live![read more...]
