| Moore is Better Than Most - 4/5/2009
I would invite somebody who thinks that Moore is so terrible to try living in Stockton, CA. I was born and raised there and have traveled all over and I can tell you that Moore is a great place to live and raise a family. The schools are good, housing is low, and crime is not bad. People complain about things to do and there is plenty to do in Moore and it is not a long drive to Oklahoma City, Norman, or even Edmond. Don't be fooled by all of the places that seem to have so much more to "do" because those places usually bring along all of the negative aspects of city living (crime, pollution, high cost of living, etc.) Go try living in Stockton if you want to really see rude people, worry about having your car stolen, cannot go out after 9 pm, see prostitutes walking the main streets, and worry about if a gang might want to do target practice on you because you happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Anybody who complains about Moore just does not realize how good it is here. If all you have to worry about is it being "boring" than that should be even more reason to stay.[read more...]

| Moore vs. Keota - 9/1/2008
Moore basically sucks. don't take my word, I've never been a city person, even though I grew up in Moore, I love Keota. If your reading this, and decide to check out Keota (Keota, OK) It looks really plain and stuff from reviews, but you have to go there to like it. When I can, I will move there, but for now I'm stuck here in moore. If you like the city feel, come to moore. It's nicely sandwiched in between Oklahoma city and norman, except for the fact that OKC is a slum and norman costs too much. If you live in moore, it's really easy to get to both of those cities. Moore is also Constantly expanding, while Keota is..... shrinking. Keota Has a Ghost Town feel to it, except that people still live there. Some buildings are closed while others may be only one wall still standing, but most places are still running. Moore, however, only has a few closed buildings out of its hundreds of (one story mostly) buildings. All the closed ones are in the old town district. Keota vs. Moore, this is just my opinion, form your own, visit these two places. Highway 9 runs through keota and can take you all the way to Norman. Norman is directly south of Moore. So what are you waiting for. Oh, by the way, both places have friendly people, don't be scared of them. But beware the people in norman and oklahoma city. Norman people are extremly rude and suck at driving, while okc people are more apt to rob you or assault you in some way. But the people are ok in Moore, and Wonderful in Keota.[read more...]

| The great city of moore - 7/14/2008
I moved to Moore in 2004 and this is a great town. There are friendly people, shopping, restaraunts, healthcare, leisure activities, churches, family oriented activities and diversity. Home prices are below national average, but are very nice. Moore is growing everyday and is making more positive changes. I'm glad to call Moore home.[read more...]

| Conservative Politics - 6/16/2006
Moore is a fairly conservative bedroom community between Oklahoma City and Norman. Many of the residents are blue-collar workers either at the General Motors plant (recently closed), Tinker Air Force Base, or military from the base. The political bent is conservative, patriotic, and Republican.[read more...]
