Ample shopping, restaurants and entertainment at the Hunt Valley Towne Center a short, 5-10 minute drive away.[read more...]

| Suberban town with lots to do - 12/29/2007
What makes Cockeysville so great is that it's less than a 20 minute drive from both downtown Baltimore, and the more rural areas of MD. Towson, mainly a large college town, is within 10 minutes. In my opinion, there is always something to do in or near Cockeysville. In Cockeysville itself; there is 3 good bars: Padonia Station, High Tops, and The Still. Then there is Johny C's billiards room to shoot some pool, or Hot Pots to glaze pottery, the strip of antique shops on York Rd, or the NCR trail where you can jog, bike or ride a horse all the way from Ashland Rd up to PA line. In the summer you can even go tubbing on a portion of the stream there. Loch Raven Reservoir is a bit south, where you can picnic, hike, go fishing, boating, or swim. There is much more, but these; in my opinion, are the highlights of the area.[read more...]
