As we Boomers age, Muskogee is a good place to live. It is small with relatively low crime. Housing costs are very low and if you move here from somewhere else your $$ will really stretch. Though there is not alot of things to do (but more is happening all the time) Tulsa is about 45 minutes away (which is like driving around a really large city). Tulsa has just about anything anyone would want and by living in Muskogee we avoid the problems that come with large cities. Muskogee is a very friendly town and people are very nice.
