Crime rating is very local to inner Lynchburg

Like any other older medium size city Lynchburg does indeed have some issues with crime but, from my experience, they seem to be very tied to location. Areas to the West and South of the city offer beautiful established and also new wooded neighborhoods that are as safe as any city of this size in the US.
