There's a lot to do in Minneapolis/St Paul, and the job market is good. But the weather is quite extreme and gets tiring. Winter isn't always frigid, but when it is bitter cold going outside is awful. And the snow and ice linger until late March. Spring is often cloudy, wet, and cool, then the storm season starts. The weather forecasters go nuts scaring people each time there's a thunderstorm. Best time of year is June-September, but expect lots of mosquitoes and either a drought or flood. It's rarely just 'normal' here - always one extreme or the other.
