Cold snowy winter, nice warm summer. You might need air conditioning 15 nights per year. Can get a little muggy and humid, but not for real long spells. Some winters are really cold with not that much snow, and others have snow as an almost daily occurance. But a short drive or walk brings you to a snow covered beach. How special is that. Do plan on lots of sunbathing, but don't plan on running into the ocean very often. The water temperature is not that high, rarely above 55 degrees. Wetsuits recommended.
