| One frustrating thing about South City weather is the number
of overcast & foggy days, as compared to other nearby cities
on the Peninsula. You can literally look down the street and
see the sun and blue skies you're missing out on!

| Bayview Hunters Point - 6/30/2006
Been living in bayview hunters point for about 12 years now. What I can say that it's a rough place to live, no one cares about us and the mayor of San Francisco continue to ignore us. While many think San Francisco isn't really a dangerous place, but cities do have their "ghetto" and slums. There were over a 100 shootings in the year 2004 in bayview hunters point. One of them took the life of a very dear friend. Everyday it's hard, but I've been able to maintain this far so I'm gonna keep surviving. But one good thing about living here are the low income homes.[read more...]

| Schools could be better - 5/12/2006
This was originally a blue-collar community several decades ago. In the SF Bay Area, it is not known for its high-quality public schools, K-12. So.SF has a number of parochial schools and/or is within driving distance of a few others. Many parents choose parochial over public. The city's two high schools are not well-respected for student academic achievement.[read more...]
