Review of Hoover Alab, Massachusetts

Hoover Standard of Living
Star Rating - 8/17/2005
Good municipal facilities (City Recreation Center, great library, good police and fire protection).

Good schools (especially for Alabama).

Traffic is heavy at times around retail centers.

Good neighborhoods, but approaching too much suburban sprawl.

Housing prices are rising, which is good if you already own a home, bad if you're looking to buy one.

Close enough to medium sized city (Birmingham, 10 miles) and large city (Atlanta, 150 miles) for cultural influences, and still close to country/rural areas for recreation. Beautifil beaches of the gulf coast are about a 4-hour drive away, but plenty of lakes and rivers.

Nice place to live.
