| Culturally diverse. Great community services. Excellent schools. Great location: easy access to sports and cultural places (museams, theater, etc.), events (Meadowlands concerts and sports), activities (local access to participate), shopping (Paramus is the mall capital of the world), NYC and the Jersey shore - to name a few. Wayne is a bedroom community with a small city feeling - very safe.

| Wayne Schools - 11/15/2007
Having lived here most of my life - I will support the Wayne Township Schools. They are truly excellent. The town is definitely a family oriented place to live. Fantastic police department and fire dept. not to mention the first aid squad. It's also very safe. There is a lovely new pool in town not to mention a few lakes. Properties are taken care of. The taxes are a bit up there. Anyone relocating out here check Wayne. There is a little more traffic at certain times of the day. We all drive our children to school and we have a number of malls. Located near Rt.23,46 and 287 and 80.[read more...]

| Wayne is a nice place to live but expensive - 7/10/2007
I have been living in Wayne for over 10 years- moved from West Milford (which is more rural). Wayne has very good schools, vast entertainment choices and beautiful neighborhoods. Weather is moderate and it is a relatively easy commute to NYC. I recently moved to the Pines Lake section in Wayne (from another area in Wayne) and love the community. People actually say hello to you as you walk around the lake (very woodsy) . House prices vary - from logs that are from mid 400 to 500,000 s to mansions around the lake for over 1 million. Wayne is very safe and was rated as 32 out of 100 best places to live by Money magazine. The only drawback is that the real estate taxes are high and so is the car insurance (which is true for all of NJ). Houses are expensive too but you will also make more money living next to a major metro area (NYC).[read more...]

| Great Place to Live - 7/8/2007
Packanack Lake in Wayne is a terrific community for families. It is quiet neighborhood loaded with trees and has all the amenities of resort life. The lake offers small boating - no motors - canoes, sailboats and rowboats. The lake also offers good fishing for kids and adults and two beaches. The community offers a 9 hole golf course, tennis courts and a clubhouse where events are held. The Lakeside pub overlooking Packanack Lake is a great location to enjoy a cool beverage. The entertainment of New York city is close by and yo can be in Times Square within 25 minutes by car or bus or train.
