| Although Hawaii is undeniably a beautiful place with many desirable attributes, education is not one of them. Public education is in a word--horrible. There are many good private schools, but that adds cost in what is already an extremely high cost of living area. Unfortunately, it doesn't get any better at the college level. Especially after you get outside of Honolulu program offering a few and weak.
