Review of Georgetown Color,

Sleepytown
Star Rating - 6/27/2009
Georgetown is a small historic town worth the trip. If you go, visit the Red Ram. It's really quite a lesson in history. The lower bar still has the door that ran underground to the Red Light district. A GREAT and cheap place to eat is the Swiss Inn. They also have some rooms to let at a good price. They are small but they are clean. My first visit there was forced due to a snowbound Hwy (yes they will close the roads) but it was after visiting this town that I feel in love with the whole area and decided to make Denver (Golden) my home. The homes in that area are over 100 years old and they are built right up the hillside. there are plenty of neat specialty shops around the main section of town to keep one busy for the day.
