Review of Olive Branch, Mississippi

Six years and still pleased
Star Rating - 7/27/2008
We moved to Olive Branch, MS in 2002 and have been very pleased with our choice. Housing is less expensive than in the other Memphis Metro areas and with the tax breaks that Mississippi provide for retirees, we are pleased that we have more money for fun things such as travel. We have several nice shopping centers near us as well as Home Depot and Lowes and several chain restaurants (not fast food, of which there are many). Our sales taxes are less than Tennessee so we try to stay in our area to shop. However, we are close enough to Memphis, Germantown and Collierville, TN to work, shop and play. There are numerous golf courses in Olive Branch and the surrounding area and several nice parks and softball/soccer fields for the young people, it would be nice to have a few other things for older people to do. All in all, we are very happy with our life style in Olive Branch, the people here are friendly and the school systems seem to be great. We recommend this area.
