Bloomsburg is serviced by it's own community hospital and local medical practices along with being serviced by the Geisinger Health System. The Geisinger Health System is a comprehensive network of medical centers and community practices that service north central Pennsylvania. The main medical center is in Danville, which is about 15 minutes southwest of Bloomsburg. Geisinger has been national recognized for it's innovative approach to providing quality and cost-effective health care. This means that people living in north central Pennsylvania have access to a level of health care sometimes not even found in urban America.
