Laurel is a small community centrally located 15 miles from Washington DC, 15 from BWI, and 20 from Annapolis and has a relatively low housing cost compared to most areas this close to DC. The cost of electricity is rising, but most other costs are comparable to lower cost of living areas, such as Pensacola FL.
