| Love it, but high property taxes - 1/9/2010
We've lived in Medford for almost 4 years now; my husband grew up here. We have 3 kids, 2 in elementary school; one in pre-k. Medford has serene, nice, quiet neighborhoods, a nice neighborhood park, and a hometown feel. It has a nice main street, and is close to major highways. The school our kids go to is excellent, very focused on each child, and everyone is very friendly and close knit. Our property taxes are HIGH - it is a huge reason for us to move, however, since the schools are so great, and we love our neighborhood, we will stay until the kids are done. We are 1 hour away from Ocean City, NJ, and 2 1/2 hours from the Poconos in PA. We love Jersey, we just wish our property taxes weren't so high.[read more...]
