Review of Boone, North Carolina

Beautiful Boone
Star Rating - 8/6/2005
Boone is surrounded by some of the most gorgeous mountain scenery on the entire East coast. Boone itself is a small town, it's heart seems to be built around Appalachain State University, which has a very nice campus. Despite its small size, Boone seems to have a decent economy, which probably relates back to a combination of the University and tourism. Here you're surrounded by a variety of excellent ski locations, some of the best cycling roads in the nation, and an all around stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nature itself offers so much to do here it's impossible to think of it all and write it in one paragraph. Boone is my favorite mountain getaway destination on the East coast, and second only to the Rockies in Colorado.
