High Schools in Brentwood - 10/24/2007 |

|
| We recently visited Brentwood, both of the public schools looked great. I understand Ravenwood is new and wonderful. Which would be best for "new" kids to fit in? What about academic's? Any suggestions for making the decession between the two? Franklin also looked good, any information about the IB program. Someone told me they have a nursery for the students children! Is this true? Thanks for your help

| Brentwood Schools - 11/5/2008
The city of Brentwood is served publically by the Williamson County School system. We have 2 public high schools, Brentwood High and Ravenwood High. In addition there is Brentwood Academy within the city limit which is private. Various options fro private schooling are available for children younger than age 5.
Nearby in Franklin and Nashville, other pirvate opportunites exist for ages 5-18. These would be Battleground Academy, Father Ryan, Franklin Road Academy, Harpeth Hall, Montgomery Bell Academy, the University School and others.[read more...]

| Brentwood or Stepford? - 4/7/2007
Reliable, predictable and consistent are all good words to describe Brentwood. It’s like a chain restaurant: when you walk in the door, you know exactly what you’re going to get. Many people like the security these attributes bring. Others will grow bored with the monotony. All the houses are brink. Every yard has a Bradford Pear Tree. Everyone goes to church on Sunday. If there was a real Stepford, it would be here.[read more...]

| Nice part of town - 9/20/2006
Brentwood is a very nice part of town. Brentwood is kind of in between Nashville and Franklin but closer to Franklin. I think Brentwood is on the boarder of Williamson county which is the wealthiest county in Tennessee. Officially I believe it is in Davidson county though.
The Homes in Brentwood are not cheap. A moderate sized home will probably run about $180,000. There are some older areas of Brentwood so you can probably find some cheaper homes in those areas. But there are alot of very large homes in Brentwood with alot of property.
Climate in Brentwood is similar to Nashville. Cold winters with a little snow but mainly sleet is the problem. During Summers the temp can get up to 96 or so. But at least this area has all 4 seasons.
I'm not sure how much history is in Brentwood but theres some in Franklin which isn't far from Brentwood. Brentwood is surrounded by hills and trees and for the most part is very clean and classy looking.
If you can afford it, I'd recommend living in Brentwood. There are some country music stars that live there and also a number of sports athletes as well. You'll enjoy being close to Franklin and not too far from Nashville when living in Brentwood.[read more...]
