Alpena, Michigan SperlingViews

Alpena is a town for all ages, with plenty to do, more than one person could attend. I think the events are varied and offer something for everyone. The town is lovely, the lake is beautiful, the people are friendly, and for its size, I can't imagine more culture being offered. This town has two theaters where I've seen some great acting in numerous plays. The college is outstanding, a regional highlight; the hospital (ARMC) offers quality care; the library has many high quality events, outdoor winter (and summer)sports can't be better, it has a quality museum.... Just open the paper and there "will" be something to do.
